Term 1, Week 7 - The Learning Pit
This week in Room 25 we learnt about the Learning Pit which is a way for us to understand what learning feels like and what to do when learning becomes really hard. Room 25 was set a tricky challenge so we would all get to the bottom of the pit and learn how to get out of it. We had to read and follow some instructions on how to make an origami fish with no help at all. At the beginning we were all feeling excited! Some of us decided to work with a buddy… Then it started to get a bit tricky.. At the bottom of the pit we felt frustrated and wanted to give up.. But we kept trying and slowly started to climb our way out of the pit.. Shin became the teacher and helped us all understand what to do. We were slowly getting it... We all finished our fish and it felt so good! We were so happy we didn’t give up! Room 25 are so proud of their fish which are decorated and on display in our classroom.
